Ubuntu; The Laptop HDD killer
According to Bug #59695 in acpi-support (Ubuntu) the default ACPI setting, when operating on battery power, could potentially kill your HDD at a quicker pace than normal. Thankfully it's on the "wishlist" for bug fixes and it's only been known since the 9th of September 2006.Post metadata
