Sourceforge has just opened their 2008 Community Choice Awards nomination process. I've nominated both of the Open Source projects I'm involved with, and I would love it if my kind readers would help out with the nomination process.

Bharat Mediratta, of Gallery fame, has recently had two articles about him and a couple of his projects published. "The SourceForge Story" and "The Google Way: Give Engineers Room".

It's great to see great people get recognized as the great resources they are! Personally I owe Bharat (and the rest of the Gallery team) a lot, especially when it comes to understanding how a great developer community works and how to write quality code (I certainly don't do that though).
I would like to take this opportunity to express how grateful I am to have been able to meet such talented people both in the online world, but especially in person when I met up with the whole Gallery team in New York back in 2005. Hopefully I'll be able to repeat that this summer, perhaps even in Europe this time.
