I continue to see a lot of referrals from streamy.com in my logs, but since I don't have an invitation I'm completely unable to check out why I'm seeing that traffic. I requested an invite some time ago, but clearly I'm out of luck so far.

I even tried looking at inviteshare.com, but they have "2179 waiting users" and I'm nowhere near the top of that list.

Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

I'm glad to see that Gallery is indeed amongst the supported platforms amongst the other usual suspects.

It will be very interesting to see if this idea catches on.

According to Bug #59695 in acpi-support (Ubuntu) the default ACPI setting, when operating on battery power, could potentially kill your HDD at a quicker pace than normal. Thankfully it's on the "wishlist" for bug fixes and it's only been known since the 9th of September 2006.
