I was tagged by Jesse Mullan on Facebook, but decided to post this here instead.

Once you’ve been tagged, you are supposed to write a note blog with 25 random things, facts, habits, or goals about you. At the end, choose 25 people to be tagged. You have to tag the person who tagged you. If I tagged you, it’s because I want to know more about you.
I won't be tagging anyone, if you feel like you should have been, feel free to post

As of today I'm officially a Watchguard Certified System Professional and I've got the PDF to prove it.
While this might not be the best known certification in the world, it's still nice to have papers proving you have experience with managing the solutions you deploy.
The exam was fairly comprehensive, spanning 50 questions, many of which were multiple choice.
Last, but not least, this is another thing I can remove from my TODO list.

And I am not frightened of dying, any time will do,
I don't mind. Why should I be frightened of dying?
There's no reason for it, you've gotta go sometime.
I never said I was frightened of dying.
The Great Gig in the Sky
It's a sad, sad day indeed. Another of the original Pink Floyd cast has joined the great gig in the sky and is no longer amongst us. Syd left us, for real not only mentally, back in 2006 and now Richard Wright has joined him.
So long Richard (1943 - 2008), you will be missed but never forgotten. Your music makes sure of that.

Back in April VMware hosted the 2007 Technical Solutions Exchange (TSX) for the EMEA region in Nice, France.
After a small delay, the presentations from the event has now been made available for download.
Seems like it was a good event, sadly I didn't have a chance to attend it. Somehow I did manage to get myself mentioned though, as Robert Dell’Immagine (Director of Community over at VMware) had a list of sites he wanted to mention:

Too funny.

Sadly the server that powers this site as been down since the afternoon on Friday the 26th of January until now. The reason is basically a bad raid controller that needs replacement (there will be photos later...), and I'm waiting for a new one now. How long the server manages to stay up this time I don't know, hopefully it'll manage to stay up a while.
The downtime also affects my email, so I might not be able to reply to any emails until the problems has been solved. Don't worry though, all incoming emails are cached and stored at an external site and delivered to me as soon as my server is responding again.
Most of the time self-hosting is fun, but this proves not to be one of those times.
