My new site vmaware.net has finally gone live. This is my new digital playground for all things virtualization and related topics.
Not much content yet, but that is due to change pretty quickly. :)
---
Update: Well, turns out vm-aware.net was already occupied by someone with very similar interests as myself, so I've renamed the site to vNinja.net to avoid confusion. Enjoy!

In an effort to try and clean-up my online presence, I've set up a new site blog.opticalpork.com. This site will, from now on, be my main photography/portfolio site.
This is the first of several planned changes in how/where I publish my online content, more stuff to come later on!

I was tagged by Jesse Mullan on Facebook, but decided to post this here instead.
Rules:
Once you’ve been tagged, you are supposed to write a note blog with 25 random things, facts, habits, or goals about you. At the end, choose 25 people to be tagged. You have to tag the person who tagged you. If I tagged you, it’s because I want to know more about you.
I won't be tagging anyone, if you feel like you should have been, feel free to post
- 1. I really wish I could play the guitar.
- 2. For some reason I've always wanted a tattoo, but never got one. Not even sure why I want one, or why I've never actually got one.
- 3. I can put mayonnaise on just about anything.
- 4. I drink way to much Coffee and Coca Cola. My caffeine addiction is pretty bad.
- 5. I have never been ticketed, not even for speeding.
- 6. I don't understand religion. I respect peoples religions, it's just that I can't understand it's basic premise.
- 7. My left pinky-finger is extremely bendable. There must be something wrong with the top joint, but it doesn't hurt.
- 8. I recently found gray hairs.
- 9. I have never broken a bone in my body (unless thats what happened to the pinky). The ligaments in my ancles is a completely different story though.
- 10. I can't tie a tie. My 11 year old son ties a perfect Windsor. Every time.
- 11. I recently ate cooked seal meat.
- 12. At the ripe age of 32, I still can't grow a full beard.
- 13. I'm surprised that I've made it through the first 32 days of my Photo365 project.
- 14. I cried when I saw Schindlers List in the cinema.
- 15. Spiders scare me to near death. I have never watched Arachnophobia.
- 16. My initial plan was to become a pedagogue, working in kindergarten.
- 17. Having kids changes plans.
- 18. I'm a blood donor for purely selfish reasons.
- 19. 10 thumbs doesn't even start to describe me. I love reading DYI stuff, but can never actually do any.
- 20. I still think John Belushi was one of the funniest people to have ever lived and I love old SNL shows
- 21. I'm a sports fanatic and I can spend hours watching any sport on television, especially "weird" sports like Snooker.
- 22. I hate Pepsi. No idea why, I just do.
- 23. I secretly want a MacBook.
- 24. Every morning I decide that tonight I'll get to bed early. I never do.
- 25. I once peed out the window on the second floor.
Thats it.

As of today I'm officially a Watchguard Certified System Professional and I've got the PDF to prove it.
While this might not be the best known certification in the world, it's still nice to have papers proving you have experience with managing the solutions you deploy.
The exam was fairly comprehensive, spanning 50 questions, many of which were multiple choice.
Last, but not least, this is another thing I can remove from my TODO list.

And I am not frightened of dying, any time will do,
I don't mind. Why should I be frightened of dying?
There's no reason for it, you've gotta go sometime.
I never said I was frightened of dying.
The Great Gig in the Sky
It's a sad, sad day indeed. Another of the original Pink Floyd cast has joined the great gig in the sky and is no longer amongst us. Syd left us, for real not only mentally, back in 2006 and now Richard Wright has joined him.
So long Richard (1943 - 2008), you will be missed but never forgotten. Your music makes sure of that.
