New theme (again, I know).
I've spent a few nights now redesigning the site. I decided to make it live tonight, and work through the kinks in the next few days. It's based on Gentle Calm theme by Phu Ly. Truly a great starting point. More details to come later. Feedback appreciated as usual.8 Responses to New theme (again, I know).:

Looks nice so far. I like the colors and layout idea.

Just curious how you got the “Leave a reply box” and just the general layout. Really cool!

The “leave a reply” box is pretty much stock Gentle Calm, i’ve just edited the css a little bit.

You might want to remove the clearing CSS from the comments’ content. It wasn’t designed for Gravatars, so it looks a little weird.

Yeah, it does. I need to fix that, but can’t seem to be able to sort it out right now. I think I might need to redo the gravatar integration.

Hey all — was hoping that someone could clue me in on a total n00b CSS issue:
I’m trying to customize the Random Image Theme for Wordpress, and I’m running into a small — but *incredibly annoying* — problem.
I’m trying to make the background of the content area white. The background of navigation column that runs down the right side is not plain white (FFFFFF). Rather Photoshop’s color picker claims that it’s F9F9F9 — but this isn’t anywhere in the style.css file. There is a .alt that has a background set at F8F8F8, but when I change that to FFFFFF, it doesn’t help.
Where is that shading coming from?
many thanks…

Most likely it’s a graphics file thats used as a background, which is why you can change the colors?
