New Microsoft Appliances
Microsoft has added 6 virtual appliances in their VHD format to the Virtual Appliances Marketplace. These are self-extracting archives that can be run either with Microsoft's own Virtual PC software or VMWare Workstation, Server or Player. The Appliances are limited to 30 day evaluation versions, but at least this means you can evaluate/test something on a Microsoft platform without having physical hardware to try it out on. At the moment, you can download the following appliances:- Microsoft Windows Server 2003 R2 Enterprise Edition Virtual Appliance
- Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 Virtual Appliance
- Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Enterprise Edition Virtual Appliance
- Internet Security and Acceleration (ISA) Server 2006 Virtual Appliance
- Internet Explorer 6 Application Compatibility Virtual Appliance
- Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 Evaluation Virtual Appliance
