As I've mentioned before, the new Habari Silo functionality opens up a wide area of potential uses. The first Silo Integration was of course flickr, but now Chris J. Davis has brought it to the next level by integrating Viddler.
For those unaware of the Viddler service, it's basically a web application that lets you upload and share video content from within your browser.
The ViddlerSilo Overview video shows how the integration works, and Chris has also made available two videos that were actually recorded from inside the Habari admin interface, 1 and 2
Unfortunately the code is still not ready for it's initial public release until Viddler make their public API available, but the demonstration videos mentioned above really show how Habari can make publishing your digital content much easier.
I imagine that there will be similar Silo setups for other services. I'm not a podcaster, but I can definitely see similar usage scenarios for Podcasters. Imagine being able to record directly via the Habari admin interface and instantly publish it.
Habari is destined for glory in 2008, personally I can't wait to see what else is in store.
